We, like the women in the Gospel, are still asking, “Who will roll away the stone?” The first thing we need to recognize is that the stone is surely there, but notice also the moment of their arrival. They came “just as the sun was rising”. I think the text is telling us that it is divine light that allows us to both see—and then see beyond—the very same stone.

A blessed Easter to you as well, Tess! Happy Resurrection ♥♥♥
Risen indeed!
Amen alleluia.
Thank you, Claire, Tenar and Rachel.
Easter Blessings to you, Tess.
I came to your blog intentionally this evening. Not that you’re predictable
…but I was confident I’d find my Easter meditation here. Thank you for sharing Fr. Rohr’s words.
Elaine, I’m honoured!!
Tess,
Risen indeed . . . . I am still singing the anthem that my little church choir sang yesterday morning, here in Portland OR. . . . . it’s an African processional. I notice that you and I practice the same type of liberal, inclusive Christianity. It’s a joy to find a kindred spirit like you. I’ve put you on my blogroll at Diamond-Cut Life.
warm regards,
‘Alison
Alison, I’m so grateful to you for including me on your site, that’s a lovely gift. And on your blog I just read the post about church that you link to in the comments – very good.
