There’s an old country legend that at midnight on Christmas Eve around the world, the animals in their stables and barns kneel in reverent welcome to the Child of light.
I wish you all light in our darkness, and the happiest of Christmas seasons.
See you on the other side.

Tess,
A gracious hostess is one of your virtues, for sure!
Look forward to meeting you on the other side.
Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!
I would like to kneel with the creatures ((-:

kigen, thank you and here’s to next year.
A lovely legend, Tess, that says so very much about wonder and awe and simplicity. I will kneel beside Kigen — figuratively, of course — and light my Christmas candles to cast out the darkness within and without. Peace and joy and a Happy Christmas! May the light you find shine into the New Year!
This picture is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing the legend.
Inwardly, my knees buckled and my head bowed, finding myself kneeling with Kigen and Barbara. What a Christmas Joy!
Love….
This morning a group of wild pheasants landed at the farm where I keep my horses – the ground is covered in snow and ice. The farmer quickly went out to throw them some corn so they, too, “know it is Christmas” (and not to shoot them!). Another old Christmas legend – feeding all of God’s creatures on Christmas Day.
Have a blessed and peaceful Christmas, and thanks for sharing your thoughts and friendship through this wonderful blog.

Delightful, Tess.
See you on the other side.
happy christmas, tess! xoxoxo
Happy Christmas Season to you, Tess. And yes, see you & all the sweet creatures on the other side.
Thank you all for these lovely wishes, and Sibylle, I can just picture that snow-covered field.
Happy Christmas season, lovely friend!
We were snowed in last week and most unusually for this area, the snow that fell on the 18th and 19th lingered so we had a white Christmas. It was beautiful.
May the joys of the season be yours as well as some time away from the rigors of a work schedule.
Hugs!
Thank you, Barbara Anne, I love to know you’re checking in regularly. Any quilting happening?
