strength-dreamboard

I’m a day (night?) late posting the July dreamboard. It is the Buck Moon, also known as the Hay Moon or the Thunder Moon.

This month, I wanted to make a dreamboard symbolising strength. Every time I step outside my house at this time of year, natural growth is strong and relentless, and together with the Buck Moon this strong growth gave me a cue for dreamboard content. I included images of wild and domesticated animals, wild and farmed land, and people. The idea being that in working together with our mother Earth instead of against her, we are all strong.

I love this – strength yes, but peace too. Everything fits together so harmoniously. Especially love how the antlers look like they are holding up the beautiful moon. Ah.

wow, that woman front left is intriguing
she looks like someone who has come into her own
and embraces her own wisdom and strength

love the way the moose rear left is howling at the moon :-)

@kavindra: thank you, yes as soon as I started placing pieces on the background I knew the antlers had to be linked to the moon.
@kel: thanks – the woman comes from a mail order catalogue I get in which the (Swedish) designer uses models of all different ages for her unusual clothes. They’re perfect from dreamboards and collages. (I very occasionally buy something as well!)
@lucy: as soon as I saw the doggies I was reminded of Curry and knew they had to be there!

Wow, this *feels* like the full buck moon. There is such strength, aliveness, vitality, direction. It really evokes my curiosity. I keep looking around it, discovering something new. May it invite in all that you wish to manifest this month.
