Remember last year, when 20,000 bloggers wrote about the environment, all on the same day? (This was my post.)

That was the beginning of Blog Action Day.

Blog Action Day 2008 has just launched, and on 15 October we’ll be blogging on the subject of poverty. As I write these words, nearly 2000 blogs with a combined readership of over three million people have already signed up to take part. It doesn’t matter if you have five regular readers, 500 or 5000, you can be part of this day of influence.

Why not make the commitment to be part of Blog Action Day? It’s quick, easy and free. All you have to do is register on the Blog Action Day site and then publish your post on poverty on 15 October.

Let’s see if we can do even better than 20,000 blogs this year.

This is an excellent concept, and something I wish I read about before I was about to go to bed! But I promise to sign up and do this, I think it’s excellent!
