April (snow) showers

Well, in England on the 6th of April, you don’t expect to wake up to snow. As soon as I saw what the night had brought, I was up and dressed and out in my local woods. A little late as it was already 9.30 and much of it was beginning to melt, but there was still enough of the magical enchantment left for sheer delight.

Snow sun

When the snow of the foothills vanishes
Your brightness stays
Neither inside nor outside are You
But in all the universe
And expanses not yet known

Enchanting photos, Tess. I especially like the top one…it captures the best of winter….even when it happens in Spring! What a wonderful way to spend Sunday morning — in the snowy woods.

We had a very fluffy snowfall on Friday and you could hear the muffled screaming everywhere! But it was gorgeous and melted in the spring air. Today is delightfully sunny. Lovely photos, Tess.

Such pretty snow. We’ve been wearing mostly short sleeves for a while.
