Seven things about me meme

Me from Those Northern Skies tagged me for this meme. Such a thrill, as I’m a meme virgin!

First, the Rules: People who are tagged start by thinking about 7 random facts/habits about themselves. Each player then must write about those seven things on their blog, as well as include these rules. Players then need to choose 7 people to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to leave each person a comment telling them they’ve been tagged.

1. As a child, I had a large pink pig called Henry as an invisible friend. I used to insist that Mum wait for him to catch up when she took me out. She seemed to think he was imaginary.
2. I have really bizarre thumbs: the upper phalange is very short and the nail broader than it is long. They look more like toes but are very strong with great grip. They are unusual and palmists call them Murderers’ Thumbs. They are supposed to denote a violent, brutish nature! Brutish, there’s a word to conjure with.
3. I hate the taste of blackcurrants.
4. I have a recurring dream in which I’m “woken” by the sound of a large spider walking across the pillow towards me. I turn my head and it’s there. I don’t know what happens next because then I always really wake up in a panic. Wonder why…
5. I dislike high summer; I don’t like high temperatures. When people say what lovely hot weather it is I just smile and don’t say anything.
6. I have a special fondness for the character of Robin Hood. He was my childhood hero. I never wanted to be Maid Marion, always Robin himself.
7. Although I call myself British, in fact a strange mixture of English, French, Irish and East European Jewish blood runs through my veins.
